Improving transaction speed at the register

And i’ve been noticing that our transaction times have been creeping up lately, especially during peak hours. With our current POS system, we’ve got some features that could streamline the process, like setting up shortcuts for frequent transactions. I’d love to hear if anyone has other strategies or tools they’ve found effective in speeding things up.

I’ve found that training everyone on quick key combinations for discounts really speeds things up, especially during rush hours. It might be worth considering an up-to-date staff training session — have you thought about that?

I totally get that! A while back, we started using a ‘speed round’ practice during slow hours, where the staff would do mock transactions against the clock. It’s surprisingly fun and boosts confidence for those rush periods. @tfrost31, have you thought about adding that?
