Lost in the discount maze

Ever tried explaining to a customer why the item is on sale but not part of the sale? Just last week, a lady brought me a ‘50% off’ sticker that was from last year’s clearance rack. Watching her face when I explained it was like finding a hidden Easter egg — confusion and surprise rolled into one.

It’s wild how those clearance stickers can confuse even the best of us. I once saw a customer argue that last year’s prices should still apply like a vintage wine — some things just don’t improve with age! Ever had a customer try to barter for an expired coupon?

I feel you on that! Explaining last year’s clearance just confuses everyone. Ever thought about making a clear handout for these sales? @osnow34.
