Rosettes cooling; renegotiating MOQs now

Our rosette dresses dropped to 38% sell-through by week 4, and two suppliers just pushed a 7% cost increase with 300-unit MOQs for SS25. Is anyone landing net-60, tighter size runs, or swap-to-color clauses in return for earlier POs (I’m staring at a March 15 ship window)?

I’ve gotten net-60 and MOQs down by splitting POs: small fabric prepay to lock greige, then CMT on call with a clause allowing ‘swap-to-color’ up to 21 days pre-ex-factory; we traded a 1.5% surcharge and an A/B-only size curve on first cut. Caveat: if the mill won’t hold greige, you’ll just eat fabric risk. Can you get them to quote a greige hold with a dye window that still hits your 3/15 ship?

Push pooled MOQs across colors; net-60 from receipt — trade 10% prepay for a ‘7% cap’ and March 15 OTIF.

Given 38% by week 4 and a March 15 ship, I’ve traded earlier POs for two x‑factory dates (3/15 + 3/30) and prepacked size runs (1‑1‑2‑2‑1) so MOQ counts by prepack, not per size, plus a 90‑day review on the 7% with a rebate if the yarn index softens. @psimmons21’s split‑PO works better if rosette trims sit on consignment so you can pivot color without recutting. Would they swap that for a small greige deposit and a late‑ship penalty?

On that 7% ask and 300 MOQ, I swapped in a ‘MOQ by fabric, not color’ clause with a $0.08 color‑split fee and gave a rolling 8‑week FC; mid‑March ex‑factory held, and effective cuts landed 150/150 across two colors. @tfrost31 we also indexed fabric to Cotlook A and fixed CMT for SS25 so increases aren’t ad hoc.
